Default Starter box help!

I have the chrome top ofna starter box and have decided to trash the gel cell battery. I want to replace it with one of my lipo's that are currently unused. The lipo has the deans connector and I was going to solder the male deans to the wires for the motor. But there are the 2 negative wires, one for the motor and the other that is grounded. Do I solder both negative wires to the male deans connector?

I saw another racer that had done this but wanted to make sure before I ruin the motor or lipo. Thanks for the help!

Tom

how ever you had it setup for the gel cell it is the same for the lipo. minus the deans connector.

The black ground wire should go to the engine and the red wire to the switch. But the post above is correct all you are dong is replacing the power supply from one battery to another so solder on a male deans in place of 12v connectors that arethere now and you are good to go.

Yep that would be the cleanest way.
