Default RC Pro Buggy A-Main -- video

Ok folks this is the 1st 30 minutes of the race with limited editing. The file is huge so PLEASE if you are going to watch it multiple times download the mp4. I only have so much bandwidth per month and they will turn me off or I have to give them more money. So help me out or I won't be able to put out these long vids. I'll probably end up making a 10 minute recap for the tube but for the hard core guys this is the one.

Enjoy I'll be working on part 2

Default I'll be working on part 2

Gotta clean up my disk and get ready to edit and encode part 2. N-Control is going to donate some bandwidth so I don't go over my limit so we gotta get that stuff figured out while I'm encoding probably since it took most of the night to make that 63gig file A little speed blur from time to time but to get the exposure meter in the green I had to shoot at 1/30 which is way slower than the 1/100 or shorter I usually use. If you shoot that slow speed using 30p and move just right the blur doesn't show. But its hard to do. My first try. Sure does work when the lighting isn't real bright.

Default No Problem

Glad you like it. On another topic is anyone just getting audio when they try to play the vid? I had one report of that yesterday and don't want to try and diagnose anything on my side if its an isolated case.

Nice video, you run apple or PC for your editing.

Not an isoloated case, I had the issue with both IE and Firefox. Looked at your source code to the page and created a URL directly to the file and it played fine.

Default Didn't know it would do that

Yea that mov file is some kind of map for the m4v file that has the actual video in it. Weird way apple does things. I use the html that quicktime generates when you use the encode for web option. Its crazy the way it works. Compared to media player the embedding is strange. If everyone had avc1 decoder I'd quit messing with apple all together. Unless you have added additional codecs to your box you can't process the video. I like coreavc decoder. Its 15 bucks and covers every mp4 type arrangement including x.264. Or the new Divx package has h.264 decoding too. Then media player will play all those files and you don't need no stinking quicktime at all. If wmv produced as small a file that looked as good I'd switch back. As usual apple isn't quite on spec for their mp4 playback. They always do things a little differently.

I use a HP quad core box to do my editing on. Sony Vegas 8.1 64 bit BorisFX and Boris Graffiti plug ins as well as New Blue FX transitions and FX. No need for a Mac. Although one of the local reps offered to get me all the software free if I switched

Here is another quickie I whipped up last night.

Download Mp4

This one is much better in the download version. The bit rate is a bit too low on the streaming side to capture all the detail on the FX properly.

Here are the links for the 2nd half of the Pro Buggy race. Again thanks to Paul at n-Control R/C in Austin for the additional bandwidth.

Download the Hi-Qual Mp4

Now I'm going to rest up a day and start on the Pro Truggy Race.
