Default Hitec Servo Screw

Can someone tell me how I might get a hex head Hitec servo screw (the one that holds the linkage on)? The one that came with the servo is a Phillips head and it starting to strip. All the other screws on my buggy are hex and this is the only Phillips head. I would like to have a hex head if possible.

Its queer ........ 2.6mm NOT 2.5. kinda hard to fiind but hpi has them in the savage section for the screws that hold the backplates on the nitro motors, also OS backplate screws also work. I know thats not a great answer but you may be able to come up with something from that.

Awesome! Thanks for your help. One more newbie question. Is the 2.6 a measurement of the diameter of the screw head or the shaft or something else? What about the threads? Some screws have wider threads.

EDIT:
I.E. These have bigger threads than these.

some screw's are measured overall length as some are just the thread's.....the fine or coarse threads are the difference in Metric to Standard....best bet is to get yourself a thread pitch finder and double check thing's before you go screwing in some random "i think it'll work screw"

The Hpi 2.6x8's are what i use in my Hitecs.

Ok, thanks for all the help everyone. Gonna get the screws ordered.

you can use a small 3mm loc washer...or just use a drop of loctite....i normally do it for a while till the threads are caked and stick by themselves.

Ti screw's have a tendency to snap before stripping.....which would lead to a Messed up output gear on the servo...not a super expensive mistake...but one that could be avoided.

I found some cap head screws in my box (don't remember what from) that are apparently 2.6xsomething because they screwed in just fine and hold well. The only thing is that it seems (from the picture) they are shorter than 8mm. They hold well and I threw on a washer to give it more contact with the servo arm. If I had to guess, it's probably a 2.6x6mm. Should I still get the 8mm screws?

meh...its negligible....there cheap so i would say yes...then you know 100 fold its the proper screw.
