Default Odonnell 97T in a V Spec

Anyone ever tried this? What are the pros and cons that you noticed?

I have tried this plug in my vspec and i could not get a tune. My motor ran like crap and after a race day, i hung round and a guy at my track asked me what plug i was running, he told me just to try a P3, and the motor came back in tune. It ran great again.

All i can say is be careful

After break in I always switch to the 77t glow plug. Works great in the v-spec and the speed. I know it says its a 1/10 plug but really it works just right in an OS.

because the t77 runs it the same or better at half the cost. My experiance is also that the odonell plug lasts longer.

You hear all the time the difference in plugs. I like the Odonnells too, but do the plugs have any differences as far as the combustion chamber or is it just the filement?? Are they shaped any different etc. is what I am wondering.

Kalgard- they are different if you look at them. The taper as well as the gap distance to the body of the plug.

Exactly!

I felt the 97t was too cold of a heat range for a vspec. I can see how the 77t would work as it is a hotter plug. I really like od plugs, they are all that I run in my standard plug motors but in my os engines that require a turbo plu, P3's for sure.

I have played with some differnt plugs but the p3
was the plug that was made for these two motors
and they work the best for me go with want works
and for me that's a p3 a DNS or a DNF is not worth
the few bucks that you save on a plug
