Which Novarossi Header is best - 41021 (curved) OR 41005 (square) -
Im using an 086 Pipe.

could do with little more fuel consumption. the 41005 is installed right now, am i best to stick with it, dont want to loose any punch... dont know much about the differences in these 2 though.
Thanks

I'm thinking 41019. It looks like what comes with the ofna 086 pipe set and that works really good on the 5 port novas. I'm assuming your asking for the P5XL.

I ran the dynnamite version of the 41021 with a Nova 5port and it ran good got about 8 to 9 minuets of run time in a buggy depending on track layout.

on about everything to me the short double bends are perfect(seem to help smoothness of powerband and big top end). then again i see other guys running everything the same on there car xept the run different manifold. i still prefer double bend almost all the time

In my experience, square headers seem to give the engine more of a powerband effect while a round header gives more of a linear pull from bottom to top in both cases the lenght will affect bottom/top end and run times.

I was wondering the same thing,I really like the 086 pipe, but the run times for me are no good. What manifold, for this pipe, would be good to bring the run times up.

Or,what tuned pipe combo would give me about the same effect as the 086,but with better run times??
I like mid to top end performance.

What kind of run time are you getting? Temp? Clutch setup? Car?

Ok htcurt, when using a 86 based pipe you do not want to use the 41001, 41005 or similar bent headers . Use a smooth round header such as 41021 , if you use the bent headers you will always feel as if the engine has a lean bog on the low end .

Which is probaly why that other racer is using 1.1 springs with his car to try and gain some low end by putting a high stall on the clutch .

If you want the best runtime you will use the 9901ss/41021 or 41005. With either of these combos you will get the best runtime available period !!

If you want a little more power from low all the way to the top then use 9853ss/41001 or 41005
