Off road is totally variable from each time I get on the track.

For me it depends where I need it and the track condition at the time whether I go plus or minus and how much and even where in the curve.

That and throttle expo are confidence savers when you get out on the track and find out you cant steer in fast enough or the throttle is too touchy maybe say on a loose track or the opposite on a high bite track.

Default expo

I usually start with a new buggy at 20% and adjust from there most of the time I end up at 10 to 15 % but we have some pretty high speed straits. Mark,

I don't run mine with any exponential.

I like my response linear so I run -30%.

-30% in my Nitrobuggy, -40 in my Slash, -20 in my airplanes.

I don't like negative expo but I noticed with every radio I touch that if you turn the radio just a little bit, without trying on purpose to adjust a little bit, that the steering jumps around too much. To me it feels like most servos/radios are too jumpy around center like they had +expo built in.

It takes effort to get past that click at nuetral in the steering gimbal. Try just moveing your steering rack on your car back and forth just 1/4" repeatedly real quick.

Not that easy. So I run some -expo just to slow the servo around its center until the steering feels smootherin the center like it deos in the middle of its travel (away from the gimbals center click)

I hate the thud that cheaper radio wheels have at center as this makes this feeling even worse. Maybe its just a pet peeve of mine.

Airtronics seems to have the smoothest wheel in the M8/M11 along with Spektrums DX3r if you put one of the big aftermarket wheels on.

Cordless servos. This I gotta see. Jk

I was running -60 only because a friend of mine told me it would make my
truck handle better but once I learned what the expo actually did I run between 0-15% positive expo. I almost thnk my friend told me wrong on purpose. Idk ohh wel. This hobby gets very competitive at times. As LNG as I am having fun I'll stick around.

the ones i know that have a cordless motor are futaba and ace as i know of
my guessing when they say cordless motor theres no wires connected or something its supposed to make the servo smoother and faster and it is smoother and faster
