Man don't do a switch. I cant tell you how many times I have seen a guy dnf due to a bad switch. Use ws deans mini polarized plugs and plug it in and forget it. Is it a pain in the ass yes but you never have to fight a faulty switch and that's worth the hastle. As for which reg idk I don't use one but the losi 2000 2s lipo pack will last awhile. After a 30 min main it usually takes about 650-750 mah. The lipo packs are great.

I run the 808 and XT8 with lipos right now. You'll be hard pressed to find a flat lipo that fits the box where it should go. I use True power and IP hump packs. The IP2300 is nice and is what I would buy again. Only problem is you have to run the receiver in the "battery" compartment and if you run Futaba like I do, it's a crap shoot every time out due to the fact that it's close to the motor and Thermal shutdown is a problem. I run the Orion 10a regulator mounted on top of the cover for the receiver area which actually holds the battery. I'm personally switching from Lipos and regulator over to the new Lifpo packs. 6.6v and no regulator. Plus they will fit in the actual battery compartment and I can put the receiver in it's proper place and dump the regulator. Might want to consider that option as well. Here's a link to a Lifpo pack.

Also a thread here about them from another company giving some discussion about them.

I run an Apogee 2s LIPO Flat pack in my XT8 and XB8. 808 has the same radio box I believe. I just secured the Much More regulator to the outside of the radio box.
The Apogee barely fits in the battery portion of the radio box...but it fits ;-)

I just heard about them a few weeks ago. They are blowing out their inventory now. New owners want nothing to do with the RC Hobby and want to run the military portion of the company instead. So those RX Packs are $15 right now...while stock lasts.
Oh yeah and they are 2000mah packs ;-)
