OK, more importantly, will is the LRP 30 a bigger hole in backplate? I want a backplate assy for my associated 28 and am told the LRP 30 will fit....

Well, I guess no one knows. I just figured someone might have both, or the AE 28 and LRP 30 to compare. Even if someone has the 30 that can easily measure the backplate hole would be great!

Ae 28 and a LRP 28 are two completely different engines !!! the AE is made by TT, and the LRP is made by SH...chances are the backplates wont interchange

I get that. I'm told the back plate from an LRP 30 (not 28) will fit an AE 28. That's what I'm trying to figure out. Guy said he took the backplate from my AE 28 and put it on his LRP 30. I need a backplate and already wasted money buying wrong one. WILL IT FIT FROM LRP .30????

Any help would be absolutely great so I don't have to throw away an engine that I need for my Savage.

So you need a backplate for a AE 28 ? or for a LRP 30 ?

Why not contact AE and just purchase the part you need ?
