Default RC10GT2 with O.S. .18 CV-R Install

I have searched the web and am having a hard time finding what clutch nut to use on the O.S .18 CV-R motor. Can anyone help please ? I was told to try the HPI EVO 3 Clutch nut but it is way too short.

What did you space the flywheel with so it did not touch the carb ? Also how much crank shaft did you cut off ? I only one to make one cut since if I cut it too short then im screwed. Thanks. Cant wait to get this thing going.

OFNA 10099 and 10410 shim kits.
Every shim you'll ever need, get one of each.

The rtr flywheel may not clear the carb even when shimmed out.
You may have to use the FT flywheel.

No big deal, you just won't be able to use a starter box if you keep the rtr motor mounts and keep the pull start.

I hope that makes sense, I'm pretty tired.......

I just did this same setup a month ago, had no issues. Used a dremel to cut the crankshaft shorter, always cutting with room to spare. Then I just ground it shorter checking with the clutch nut until it went down flush. I used one shim like the manual said and the RTR flywheel had room to spare with the carb. Hope all works out well for you, you will enjoy the new motor! Also, you can get a 21 tooth clutch bell to compensate for the power, makes for impressive top speed without sacrificing low end power!
