But buggy bodies dont look like anything on the road either. So what. A body on these classes is more for protecting the internals and keeping mud/dirt out. And thats about it really. And to look cool with nice paint!

That is because they arent supposed to look like something you see on the road. They are off-road vehicles, more specifically, Class 1 or 10 vehicles.

And as we speak Proline jumped on the sloped roofline/flatbed idea and made a Losi/JConcepts look alike body for the Assoc. at NX this weekend.

I like the PL Shift bodies and I wonder if the 'performance difference' RC and Saxton talk about is just the body pulling their eye differently to the shape or if the truck was actually faster...I'd like to see some A-B-A numbers testing between the two body designs and not just a "This new one is faster" statement.

Class 1 usually runs LSx V8s with around 800hp. Buggies typically weigh in around 4000lbs with 24-28" of suspension travel.

Ugliest truggy shell out there! Looks like a sperm wriggling its way home, which is why we call our local Losi drivers truggy 'The Sperminator'!

Neither Buggys or Truggys are trying to represent any full scale vehicle, they are what they are. Back in the Tamiya days, they sort of looked like scale off-roaders, but not anymore.

AAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH this is great for a morning laugh........ its funny how many people on here are just jumping on the bandwagon by saying they are ugly but was the first person to place an order for one and wait months before they actually got it.

Truggies are dope. I "LOVE" the bodies, especailly that of the LOSI. Its trend setting, all the others companies are trying to bite the style in some way, shape or fashion.

They are different, not designed to be replicas or scale, they are built to preform. And I strongly believe the reason why truggies are so popular with newbies is because of the way they look on the track flying threw the air....
