Default How do you pick what race you will go to?

Just what it says. how do you pick a race small big or large that you want to go to.

Yep thats kind of how I decide it. It sucks when you drive to a race and there's like 5 guys that showed up to race.

not about points or winning anything but points races at tracks is a good way to budget race. usually track points races are once a month so that gives the budget time to re-up. then if theres big cool races slide one of them in every couple weeks

I am addicted very badly and single....ha ha

I try to club race every weekend most of the time twice a weekend in the winter. Outdoors in the summer is usually once a weekend due to having to travel farther. I have not traveled more than 2 1/2 hrs to a race. I have 5 tracks within the 2.5 hr area.

are you talking about large races or just races?

I'm curious on this as well...

Things like entry fee..whats to much and why versus what the event is giving back to the racers, etc...

Default for example...

I know cheaper is always better. But how would a $70 entry fee look to the average racers if:

Race had tons of sponsors....I mean lots. All of these said sponsor donations go back to the open and sportsman drivers.

Free shirt and track supplied corner marshal with that $70 entry fee. So no cornering for the racers. Just kicking back, hanging out and some racing...

Indoor a super large arena, so event is a given no matter the weather. It's planned in a time of year when temps are low to mid 80's. Same temps inside.

Covered pits with lights and event supplied power and concrete floor. Outside just steps from the driverstand.

same run time for pro/open/and sportsman classes, no cutting the regular guys short

big trophies for top 5 in every class.

$4000 payout minimum for pro class and up to 10k with $325 entries(expected 250-350)

Did I mention huge prize packages for open and sportsman classes with sponsorship contracts good for one year etc?

I think this is a great thread and would love to here what you guys think an event of this level is worth on entry fee..

Thanks!

I dont mind large entry fees as long as it helps keep the track alive. Money races seem to bring the worst out of most people. Trophies are nice but not required all the time. I like to go where I know I'll have a good time.
