Ok. I went with the JP1 I bought one quart and 1 spray can local for 13.00. Also it is the foam kind.
I will let everyone know my thoughts after I use it. Just couldn't pass it up. You get 1 quart for the same price as a 4oz bottle of the RC stuff and I am almost willing to bet if you look at the MSDS date they are all almost the same. Now I do agree with Track star but what he is saying goes with any substance that is not fuel.
Thanks for all the input everyone.

ae filter oil is really sticky and works very well. i run a thicker bead around the outside of the filter to form a nice seal with the housing. no issues in 2 years!

I was wondering if the HPI air filter oil is ok. It was all the hobbystore had so it's what I bought. Reading this thread I understand it's probably not the greatest and won't be what I get again but will it be ok to use the rest of the can or do you recommend to get something else now? The stuff seems like water when you put it on.

The Dynamite air filter oil is good, plus that is what Losi uses on their pre oiled air filters so if you decide to wash them you can use the dynamite oil. The oil is not water thin, yet not super sticky like the Aassociated oil which I've heard doesnt allow the engine to breate as well because of the thick oil, so its a happy medium. Also, how often do people have issues with losi preoiled filters? Nobody that I know or on the forums for that matter.

I use Amsoil foam filter oil.... i put it in a very thick plastic baggy and dump my sterile filters in there and squeeze um around and leave in there until i need um.Used it on my dirt bikes for many years 0 problems..... high dollar stuff... too expensive for the average Joe.I gave Grouchy(tallyram) a bottle of it... he better be using it.

I use K&N air filter oil too, been running it for a while seems to work great. Plus it lasts for a long time.

I've recently switched from Dynamite to Traxxas air filter oil and the Traxxas oil is noticeably more sticky and seems to cover better as well. These are the only two oils I have used but both are very reasonable in price and do the job. If the air filter is properly cleaned and maintained, I don't see the need in spending a lot of coin on more expensive oils.
