one other thing that might help you since this will be your first big race you will be NERVOUSE while on the driver stand just try your best to stay calm not to over drive the car becouse it is better to be a little slower and put in a decent run than trying to keep up with everone and crashing ever other lap.

hahaha....

That was good

Just make sure to take what you will need of course and make a list so that you can see it, check it off, etc...

Try to find someone in a different class that can help you and you can help them. This way you only have to find help once. Maybe you guys can pit together...

Man I remember my first race...or big one.

Cool man, it's gonna be fun. Let us know how it goes!

I'm nervouse at new tracks.

The best way to combat that is with my confidence cape (neon green) and to loosen up a bit by singing showtunes on the driver stand.

Everyone in RC loves Annie, and anything from Sound of Music.

I like when you do the kung fu theatre bit .... where the words don't match the lip movement.

Take every tire you can. You never know what you will need at a track you have never visited before. Take an extra servo and a back up engine that has been tuned recently in the car you are taking. It does not have to be a new engine just something that you know will run through a whole heat with enough power to get the job done.

At a club race it is not a big deal if you blow up your engine (other than the money). You just go home early. At a big race where you are spending a lot of money to attend it sucks to blow up an engine early in the event and be done. You also have limited practice at a big race so the engine needs to be tuned in the ballpark in case you have to use it in a hurry. Sometimes your main engine will just not be right too so it is often better to put in a known good back up engine rather than fight a finicky engine at a big event.

Carry a baby stroller and ask people to help you find your child...... tell them he has a mustache and a wad of cash and likes to gamble.

Break the awkward drivers stand silence by telling the racer next to you that he has pretty eyes.
