we were on bowtie M2's (still haven't found an AKA tire that works for the conditions we run on here, ie dusty, potholes, natural dirt with rocks that tear patterns off the tires, tons of dust - but that's another discussion). The first set that ran two hours is like 70% gone, the second set is only 25% worn out as every one had to back off the throttle so much in the second part of the race due to the track getting really rough... But that also meant we "could" have afforded not to change tires, but the last hour woulda been really, really tiring.

Air filters: actually, if you have two filters (ie holder + foam) ready, it's just a matter of seconds (and burnt fingers ) to swap them... the battery swap is what took us the most time because of this bloody mbx6 battery box being somewhat on the tight side for quick manipulation...

But some of the guys using nimh actually changed 3 times. So we still beat them on that one

Lipo 2200mah is more than enough for 2 hrs.

These endurance race sound like fun. I know it s little off topic but what condition does the car and motor come off in after finishing one of these ?

Put it this way. No one on my team wanted to use their rides. This will be my 1st Nitro Enduro, so I can chime in when we do it.
I am putting in new diffs and cleaninf out the bearings.

We just did a 5hr buggy enduro with a Losi 2000mah lipo and went 2.5 hours on it, although it took 1800mah back in, so it was a little close

An ACE 1015 for throttle and I believe a Hitec 7955 for steering

2 hrs is easy..2.5 will kill it. but you can make it, I have done 3 -5 min Q's, a 45 minute b main and an hour a main, same day, same battery..I won by the way...Never charged it.

I tried to push it in an enduro..2.5 It faded, an never came back..If I member right, it blew up when I tried to charge it....005 amps..

If you're running 3hrs you need to changes tires + filter anyway, one guy can do these while the other one does the RX pack.

i use the wrap that you put on a dog for a broken leg and i wrap that around the airfilter about 3-4 times and there is not a spec of dirt on the prefilter after like 1hr. that would probably work good for your enduro race
