Truggy Tire Question

Truggy Tire Question
Do they make a tire/wheel combo for truggies that are narrower than the typical truggy wheel/tires? I was at a race a few weeks ago and thought I saw some tires on a truggy that were say between a Buggy tire and a Truggy tire width wise. I didn't find it in the pits so I couldn't check them out to be sure.

Mike Kendell is a local pro and I have seen him trim truggy tires down. The only kind I have seen him do are proline holeshots he cuts down the inside beads and then uses a penny and glues them back together I have never seen them come apart during a race. He is one of the fastest guys I have ever seen with a truggy and I am not kinding its insane.

The lowest profile tire that I know of is the Komodo Dragon LP from Panther. You want low profile
And very narrow, they are the tire you want. They are kind of like running wheels with tread on
Them.

Maybe it was the new Proline VTR truggy tires. They are thinner than the normal truggy tires.
LOL. Pretty soon buggy or truggy will be erased. The V2-V3 from proline makes the buggy tires wider, AND the have the VTR which makes the truggy tire narrower. So....where does the line get drawn to keep them seperate?

V3 tires are pretty much illegal in every sanctioning body now. But, the VTR technically are illegal in the ROAR rules.

Checkout the jConcepts Crosshairs they are a narrower tire than say aka or lpr prolines. I have ran them a few times they are a medium pin tire and the narrower profile helps with turn-in.
They are not say 1/2 the width of normal but they are narrower. The only other narrow tire I know of is the cutdown holeshot, but that is a custom deal that takes skill and time
