It was not all the hard pack. If some of the transitions were different and/or a couple jumps were just a little smaller it would have been fine. If you weren't there, you just had to be there to understand. I broke because I over shot the jumps to many times, in the end it was my fault. I do wish it was more forgiving tho! LOL

Where were the engine cases breaking at? Near the engine mounts?

Nice video. The track looks great but I would make a suggestion. A little heavier shock oil would probably help with the breakages but that would kill you through those woops. So get rid of the woops, or at least make them much shorter.

Cool, I mean guys were trying to beef up everything, putting foam under, around, trying to create some cushion under the motor mounts....it was silly. This is what we all were worried about. This is now the Legacy of this race and it is dissappointing. As always, being at the track and hanging with all my friends was still a good time.

We need to support Racing in General, so we will be back next year and I sure the event will keep getting better. Thanks to those that took the time and hard work to put this event on.

We will be back!!!

I burnt a half a gallon of practice Thurs. and didn't break anything.....on Fri. I fried a steering servo...shattered a clutch bell...and broke a tie rod end.

I ran truggy and buggy, was in both A-mains, and didn't break anything, I thought. Til I looked at my Ninja in my buggy after the race. It is broken where the mounting ear meets the engine case. Only cracked. I will need a new case however. I was pitting with guys who busted several servo's, radio trays, front diff cases, and shocks. I think I was the only engine case.

The track was hard, and smooth, and stayed very consistant all weekend. It was very easy to overjump the front jump at pit lane. If you went two feet too far you were slamming down hard on basically concrete. The only thing you could do was to land flat to prevent ripping a-arms off. But landing flat caused the engine to slam straight down against the mounts. The small gap under the engine allowed it to move down breaking the mounts. I saw pics of a rod sent through the side of an engine case on an O.S.

The event was very well run, they had great food available, nice facility, and the race organizers did a great job. They did go round and interview several drivers to get input on the track and how to make it better next year. My imputs were to make the landings longer, higher and less sharp on the top. This will give a better buffer zone to land and cause less breakage. Also the turn marshaling was hard in the middle because of the track layout, not much place to stand and the track was slick even to walk across..

Overall I had a blast and will be back..

Besides engine ears..What else broke? Was it plastic carnage? or were folks just over driving?

I don't think it was over driving, it was a big jump with a small downside which made it hard to land, henceforth the over shooting of the jump causing the chassis to slap. A longer landing zone was needed.

Battery/ servo trays is what most people broke.
