Best screw sets on the market?
Hi there, I am really tired of stripped screws. i have tried rc screws but they dont seem strong to me. Well the bigger screws are allright but most of the smaller ones get easily stripped. So which ones do you think are really tough?
Thank you.
Thank you.

Is it the head of the screw that is stripping or is it the thread. if its the heads you should invest in some quality hex tools e.g Hudy if you haven't already.

Well yeah its the head. Where can i find some hudy tools?

For screw SETS only one man. Tony's screws! When I buy bulk I go to fastener express. They have it ALL and you get packs of 25 or 50 of each size for 3 or 4 dollars. They also have the anodized beveled washers for bling and aluminium stuff as well.

There sems to be quite a few posts on stripped screws and loctite.
I put a dot on the work bench and dip them in as I go wipping off the excess.
Red for engines and drive shafts, blue for all else. Just need it in the threads not a blob.
When you remove a screw with dried up loctite, I hit it with a wire wheel on the dremel to clean off the threads before reapply and install.
Also, if you grab hold and it doesnt want to come out. Try tightening it a bit and if that doesnt work hit with a solder iron.
Place the iron tip on the screw for a few minutes and it will come out much easier.
Good tools go a long way. Not every hex tool is of the same grade material. Hudy, EDS, Losi,.. also allan wrenches. Good tempered set vs harbor freight brand does wonders.
Under pressure the tool stress's and fails and rounds the hex.

Most of the tools out there are good and do the job.
But some aren't worth it.
Hudy for example sure its a great tool.. but for the price.
MIP/Thorp probably the best there is along with EDS, and the price of the MIP stuff is way better then Hudy.
Losi great tools, and they sell them in the set for a really good price plus they have long tips that you can grind down. I use these in my Pit bag incase there are sticky fingers around you can replace them and not be out almost $20 or more.
At my house when I wrench I use MIP. And they never leave my house.
That being said. Before you try and unscrew any screw make sure the head is completly cleaned out and not full of dirt. Easiest way to strip screws and ruin your tools (rounded tips) is jamming them into a screw head thats loaded with dirt.
Hex heads and screws are made to fit really deep and tight to allow maximum torque with out stripping or breaking the tip on your driver.

any 12.9grade screw will do its job well
Hudy tools are junk as most tools made by RC companies.
Hudy profitool plastic handles are nice but tips dont last long.
EDS or Xceed tips are much better.
Try tools from company that actually focuses on tools like WERA. No RC company made ball driver will last as long as Wera one.
Wera has nice ergonomic handles as well very good tips and is cheaper
