Default Engine JP FX 21 B5T

i intend to buy this engine, but i can't find this engine's informations.
i don't know is it good for my buggy? FX21 and novarossi 421B or another nova engine which is better?
I heard little more durable JP nova, is that right?
which is durable, novarossi or JP racing?
If you were me, what would you choose?
and finally, what is different between white case and black case(JP FX21)?
http://www.jpracing.com/en/products/...on/fx21b5t.php

Thank you!

If i'm not mistaken JP racing is very close to chapter 11...
The black cases are the tuned versions with the treated crank a bit like the O.S speed.
I've had that engine a couple of years back, it was good back then but by today's standards most engines get better fuel mileage, several are more powerful and Comparable engines cost a lot less! This engine shares many parts with the Original P5 and P5X, so it's a fairly old design...
not saying it's a bad engine but as token said, you would be better off with a Plus 4 in my opinion.

JPB5t is an awesome engine along with the 421b. The JP will have more bottom than the 421 and might have a tick less rpms on top if any. I've run a lot of different engines over the years and the JPb5 I must say is one of the best engines I've ever had! The Stock silver case version had more bottom than the tuned black case version. The craftsmanship and quality of JP's stuff are second to none! Also, the old school P5's, which the B5's are based off of, Bearings lasted a lot longer than a lot of the newer P5x versions and the Plus versions. Hope this helps...

I have had a JP B5 for a couple years now, it's had a bearing change and a couple rods put in it. But it literally has 20 gallon on it. I love this engine. My friends and I keep laughing about it, we say it has to die some time, but it hasn't shown any sign of it yet.

You said that you had 20 gallon on JX21 B5T, is that right?
And with 20 gallon, around 60 litres, is the engine good condition and tight?

And one more thing, JX 21 B8T with 8 ports, so With more 3 ports,is this engine stronger B5T? How much different? alot? or little?

Because this engine is not cheap so i wanna know well about this!

I have the JP B5 stocker w/standard head button, the silver case version. Yes I still run the engine today, it still has great compression and idles great. And yes it has at least 20 gallon on it, I'm sure that result isn't typical, but that has been my experience.

The couple B8s I've had dealings with (one mine one a friends) where both the black mod versions. I'm not sure if they where "over" worked on the internals or what, but both had no bottom end at all, and where very finicky to tune. I didn't like that engine at all and soon sold it. Neither where half the engine the stock nova 821 was.

I was saying go with the SILVER CASE version. More bore bottom, great top end, very easy to tune, and will last a long time. To date, I haven't had any engine last longer than that one!!!
