clutch bell question
I have the jammin x2 3 shoe aluminum clutch and 17t bell. I want to gear up but jammin doesn't make a clutch bell any higher than 17t (that i can find). Will a savage 3 shoe clutch bell fit over the jammin clutch/flywheel because hpi makes a bigger assortment of bells? Sorry for the double post i didnt mean to post in the electric section.

Chances are Ofna will have what you want.
It prob. won't be under the Jammin' label.

And from my experience with using Ofna bells on a Savage; I'd say yes they'll prob. work. (Savage bell on a Jammin') but I haven't actually checked the other way around; so ymmv.

get a smaller spur gear, 18 is the biggest bell

^ Who said anything about 12t bells?
Ofna and Losi both offer them and I use them all the time on short tracks; but I don't think that's the way this gent is wanting to go
OP: Not sure which Ofna platform you're dealing with; but have you considered going to a 2-speed?

It is a slayer that i put a mach 2 .21 in using the jammin clutch system. It needs a taller bell. I would go lower on the spur but traxxas doesn't make a smaller one. Integy is the only 34t spur i can find and i don't totally trust them, only if someone has had good experience with it.....

Once in a while Integy make's good parts....i would'nt 100% discount them right off the bat....for example...the HPI savage's were always plagued with the rear knuckles that were retained in place with a turnbuckle that would always pop off and force you to replace or pop it back on...more then annoying to say the least....and then came Integy with a somewhat knock off of what HPI did for the Upgrade Suspension system and sure as Shi* ive beat those rear knuckles to death and they have yet to fail...i have heard of a couple failure's..but the guys were also bragging about it being pretty ridiculous air and or a gnarly landing went bad...so if the gear is cheap enough i say its worth a shot.

We run into this issue (needing taller gearing) using buggies for Dirt Oval.
I've been using the Axial bells without any issues. I know of guys running the Savage bells as well.
