Odonnell big bore shock kits at tower
I was looking to upgrade my shocks on my hyper7 to a threaded shock. I was looking at the odonnell's kit from tower for $30 for the fronts or rears. The pic they reference to is odonnell's standard buggy. Which was fine with me for the price. Well my shocks arrived yesterday and to my surprise they are the shocks that they show on the team buggy. Awesome deal they come with 3 sets of springs you just have to put them together. They are half the price if ofnas big bores.

Did they mount up fine with no mods required? They're the same length as the Ofna's?

They are about an 1/8" or so shorter. The larger bottom spring retainer hit the lower arm with the top of the shock in the same hole as the factory ones. I moved it out to the next hole and evrything clears. I had the suspension hanging when I mounted them. I had to compress the shock a little to mount so the suspension travel isn't effected and doesn't stop on the shock. The only thing you will need is a longer top mount bolt with a lock nut. Or do like I did and buy short stainless screws and install them through the front of the mount.
I was going to test them out today but got rained out. Hopefully next weekend.
