Exclamation AE .15X carb. will it work on a peak diablo .15?

i bought a new engine for my rc10gt2. it has the right shaft, but a slide carb. i could set the linkage up to work, but i want the smoothness of the rotary carb. i pulled the carb off the ae .15x and it fits the diablo engine, but will it work? anyone have any thoughts?

It will work as long as it seals good, but the diablo is a better carb. Look at all the high dollar race engines and you won't see a single rotary carb.
