Man i really hate to tell you this, but the crank pin on my vspec wore out before anything else. But that was mine, i have heard of guys getting 10-12 tanks with their vspec crank. but that would be pretty rare.

put the new rod on the crank pin. If it has play or has alot of wiggle room then you might need a new crank. And if you get a new crank make sure it's the coated one from either the speed or ninja. I personally would get the speed crank.

and you will almost certainly need a new rod

Pinching the sleeve is way cheaper, lasts as long and you don't have to break it in. Save your money for a new crank down the road.

Used motors are trouble, especially a v-spec. I am partial to Go engines but there are plenty of other good ones.

It all depends on who you are buying from. I have purchased a couple used engines on here and not had too much trouble. One still flames out every race IDK why, I am going to tear it down and change the bearings, change the tank and fuel line so there is no excuse for it to flame and see how that works. OS speeds should not flame out especially when they are tuned properly tuned.

As for an engine in your truggy check out the Ninja BO1A It is a fast engine that rocks at the track. The werks B5 is a good budget engine that works well in a truggy too.

I have never ran a Ninja B01a in a truggy but I have been told on some tracks they don't have enough torque for a truggy. All depends on the track and skill level.
