Default DX3S Speed sensor .

Just got my new radio and really like all the new features on it. I've been tring to get that speed/RPM sensor hooked up but it looks like my fly wheel is to small. HAs any one got this to work? I dont really plan on leaving it on there all the time just thought it would be fun to see how fast im going.

Did you calibrate it? That was my other question as to how accurate it really was. Looks to be more of a novelty than for a true function.

Yeah I have a DX3S and run on a 1/8 nitro buggy both temp and rpm sensors. Temp sensor took a bit of fiddling to read accurate, had to move it to the 3rd lowest heat sink on cooling head to match temp gun but rpm sensor was pretty stright foward. Just put the black dot on flywheel and make sure the distance from flywheel to sensor was approx 1/8 of an inch.

If the black dot doesnt work try the black strip that came with the radio. I had to cut a bracket to make it work because the one that came with the vehicle was too short.
