You shouldnt ever turn it more than a couple hours in either direction but if you were to get it way out of whack the best way to find it would be to first look at one that hadnt been adjusted and second set it as close to flush as possible before making the setting matching the other.

when was the last off road worlds event that NR won? or better yet when was the last time a NR was in a off road worlds final?

ps those guys would win regional races with anything they run, and they're deff not off the shelve engines..

that will remind you to work over your pit table...and not over your lap.

LOL! Nice. Sorry i couldn't help myself and pass up an OS bashing opportunity.

They did figure out the flameout issues. People were setting thier carbs weird. Both needles should be just in from flush. You can't set the needles on the +4 like the OS or the Toro Nero.

Also the pros get paid to race whatever engine brand theyre told. Do you really think they want to run GRP, and Reedy engines. I'm not about to drop $500 on a Speed anytime soon. I wonder if they'd actually run Speeds if they had to pay for them out of pocket???? There were actually alot of +4's scattered about at the Worlds.

I'd love to run an OS Vspud. But I'm not going to until I see more racers have less problems with them. The +4 feels like a Vspec to me, only I can rest assured that it'll last about as long as my RB mills.

Anyways, what exactly deos the mid needle move? It isn't a needle at all right??

yea sure they fixed the flam problems.... thats why i just witnessed NR's top driver flame in every main he was in over the past month.. anyways.. most pro drivers go after the sponsors they want to run for,,, so to answer your question yes i think the "pros" are running the engines they want to run... For me i wouldn't run a NR if you gave it to me.. i'd rather pay for my shit and know imma finish without issues. another bit of advise is don't judge ANY equipment on others ppl's performance, cause who knows what they are doing.. point being is it's easy to say you seen ppl having problems with OS cause they're 15:1 at the track.. how many ppl have you seen have success? get it!

The mid needle adjusts the emulsion tube.... something i'd rather be able to adjust than not! SO another point being... better engines have adjustable mid needles/emulation tubes.

Who?

Like I said, I was just trying to stir some up.
Just seems like the bearings, carbs, and rods on the Vspec aren't as tough as the RB/NR stuff.

As soon as I see someone I race with get 12+ gallons on one changing the conrod only once and maybe a front bearing, then I'll give them a try. Seems the jx-21 is closer to this.

As soon as NR came out with their own Vspud type engine I jumped on it. (+4) Haveing decent luck with one of my n21b's and a little trouble with another n21b. Nothing major.

So what exactly deos this emulsion tube do? Some seem to say air fuel mix, and some seem to say it sets where your lowspeed needle transitions to your highspeed needle?

my mid needle has been marked on the carb, so i always can get it back to the factory flush setting. would 30% do better? I will troubleshoot within a hour or 2 on the low/hsn

Grouchy runs Novarossi +4 and likes them but he gets them 1/2 price, he is gonna try out my frankenstein v- speed this weekend. Also the more I do this hobby the more I am finding out that tuning is very esoteric stuff.

Ive been all around the world to watch racing events and to be honest its funny to see 95% of on road and off road drivers all around the world who run nova engines use odonnell glow plugs

whats the matter with nova plugs?dont they work in there own engines?

Does is take a odonnell glow plugs to stop the nova's flaming or even running right?or is it an availabilty thing, price? does anyone know?
