truggy tires 101
gday guys,been out of the loop with truggys since my msr conversion for my mbx5 a few years ago,im purchasing a mbx6t and want to get a few sets of tires and wheels,whats the go nowadays, whats the lpr,vtr,4.0,3.whatever,xtr,m3,blah blah blah.im confused,i was aiming for std offset and getting the old faithful proline bowties,but there is so many choices now im lost,any help would be greatly appreciated,

VTR is the current craze...
lighter than anything, and uses a buggy type bead
you have to use VTR rims as well

Imaxx21- is correct. If you are running the Proline VTR you have to use the VTR wheel as well. No using the VTR wheel/tire with a different wheel/tire.
Of course I am extremely bias, however with that being said take a look at the JConcepts wheels and tires. Truggy mono wheels and Blue Crosshairs. Those are pretty much the tires we run everywhere and they last forever!

Just ran the m2 VTR Calibers today for the first time on my 8t 2.0 and they are awsome. They really worked well. Gonna be tough to go back to the 3.7's again.

so if u get the vtr rims you have to get the vtr tires also i seen though they only have holeshots and cailbers why dont they have aleast bowties or crimefighters

yea`the current ones that they have wont work at all except maybe calibers do they work in the dry

I live in az and yesterday it was like 110 out and windy. They were pouring water on the track to keep water on it. We would start our race and it moist. Then about half way it was dry and loamy. I ran m3 Vtr calipers and i never noticed any difference in traction the whole time, other people were fighting traction. Then in my main we ran 30 min. it was better, water actually stayed in our main. great traction the whole time. wear seems not existent.
