if you have the drill bit, yes you can use a normal drill. I did this when i had my savage.

the battery for the rc not the roto starter. but now its fully charged and i tryed starting it with a drill with the right size bit and i see the thing spin but there is no crank all i here is the drill. i spinned it clockwise and nothing so i tryed counter clockwise and all i here is a gulp sound.

-the steps i did to try to make it start:

-turned on the switch thats on the truck

-turned on the switch thats on the radio control

-primed it by pressing the drill while closing the exhust with my finger

-then i put the glow stick on and then turned the drill but nothing happens

and im sure that everything is fully charged( truck, rc, glowstick etc...)
