I just use a pick to get the enough dirt out to get my driver in the hex. Then put the screws in a little cup with some simple green. It gets them completely clean and look brand new other then the little scratches.

Plus 1000. I use these tools just as much as any. You can get a set of 4 from sears for under 10 dollars. They work really fast .

A little trick I have learned knowing your going pick up dirt when they water the track is apply some grease to the screw holes smear off the rest and it make it easier to remove the dirt packing inside.
