Default Which Setup Station?-Are they worth it..

Hey all, Im in the small thought of maybe forking out for a setup station.. I just got rid of my Hyper 9 for my 808 09 Spec.. and was thinking of maybe getting a setup station. I have seen that-in the UK Hudy is around 225+for the full one.. and Ansmann Do a CNC one with everything for 160.. wondering what peoples thoughts on them are and the ansmann one.. as thats more my budget cheers!

I can only say that the Hudy one has worked out real nice for me
I find that I use it all the time at home before I go to track gets
every thing nice and strait to start out the day with but I don't
tack it with me to the track some ppl do don't know about the
other one a little spendy but you can't go wrong with Hudy

I cant comment on the other startion but the Hudy will hold its value well as long as you take care of it. They sell use for close to the new price because people know they are quailty setup stations.

What is included in that hudy full set you mentioned? I understand different countrys & different $ value but that sounds high. I paid $130 for 4 wheel fixtures & buggy toe plate but could have got it cheaper on line & $20 fro the truggy toe plate & $8 for AE ride height guage.Every other accessory they sell for it is just to make it faster & easier to use but not really required.

hudy complete offroad setup kit.

I have teh hudy 1/8 setup station, and would highly recommend it.

I'm sure there are knockoffs that are just as good.

Yea for that Hudy one.. its the full one.. with the ride height blocks ect.. not essential.. but nice.. the other hudy.. the more basic one.. is around 118 I think.. yea.. true about they do hold there price.. that is a very good point.. Im 50/50 on it.. Some times Im like.. would be really nice to get it setup perfect.. but then other times.. I think.. I have done ok so far without one.. why not.. but As I have read before.. alot of people including me like the though-Ok its setup perfect ect and being more confident.. I think i will get the basic hudy one.. there is a used one on *bay I may watch and see.. thanks for the imput guys!

Setup stations are more crucial for onroad racing, then they are offroad... Im my opinion, a good hold camber gauge for the camber, and a ruler/tape measure/toe-in/out gauge will be good enough I would think.

I bought a set-up station for 1/8th buggy and after using it a couple times I sold it. It seemed like the car handled worse when I used it. I thought it would be great to have a make a big difference but it just ended up being a waste of money.

Yea, TBH I think unless a really cheap one crops up.. I might give them a miss.. I would end up thinking that (Thing) cost me 170 and I use it once or twice a month.. to make sure its About 1mm perfect and not 1mm-2mm off.. think as some say.. if you have loads of spare cash yes.. but if not dont bother...

I've found that when I put my buggy on my buddies Hudy setup, once I put the wheels back on the car the camber looks off. I set it for -2 on the Hudy, put the wheels on and measure it with a RPM camber gauge it measures 0 and yes I always set it at ride height before anyone asks

I would say if you were a serious on-road racer, it's a must. Offroad, not as crucial.
