Default Engine wont run correctly

Hi Guys,

I've just replaced P/L & conrod etc rear bearing too.
The engine is Team Oion CRF US Edition.

I've done four tanks at idle, as it was so tight.

It's been back to the Manf settings But the engine just will not idle when i remove the glow plug.
I've placed new plug & also tried leaning the engine out as it was way to rich when applying the throttle as you would know.
But even with new plug it just cuts constantly, i know abit about engines but now it's confused me.

I have check for leaks & nothing seems to be wrong.

This is what I'm running in the engine.

Team Orion turbo plug Num:5 T
Byron Gen2 30%
2013 sirio Pipe/Mani
Clutch setup
Kyosho alloy shoe with 1.0mm springs all new.

So has anyone got any other ideas what it could be????

Also just is thier anyone in either the UK or the US that do kind of breaking in service & engine check over?
It would be alot better for me as im struggling for time to get it sorted.

Many Thanks

It isn't going to run well for a while with only four tanks through. It should be a pain to keep running. Just keep at it, make sure you have a new AF and new fuel line. make sure there isn't air bubbles in your lines.

No it wont idle without the glow plug off.
You have to keep it on, the engine is up to temp but soon as you take it off it just dies.
The engine is very rich, so i leaned it out little bit but then it starts high revving like it's to lean.
It shows sign of air leak i think but everything is sealed up on the carb.
Everything is all brand new P/L - conrod - Front/rear bearing etc.

Just seens rather odd to me.

Also you say tht about 4 tanks but did you know in the manual reckons only takes 4tanks what laugh that is.
The P/L before took over half gallon to work until the god dam faulty rear bearings collapsed.
So Team Orion sent me all the gubins new FOC, but everything is fitted ready bt the bloody thing wont run right.

I've ran SIRIO for many years. never had issue ever.
I try diff manf just seens so different altogether.
Perhaps i've had it easy.

Will strip it down tomorrow & check everything inside see if any issue's too.

if you didnt allready either adjust the idle up higher for breaking it in again ...and or lean the lsn slightly until it will idle ...i know the grp engines were really finiky to got to run and idle the first few attempts ....i would say it sounds like a normal break in ....since it is all new ...just my .02

If it won't idle without the glow ignitor on try a hotter plug. Also you should be heating the motor up to 200+ degrees before starting.

I had a motor that was doing the same thing. With out the ignitor the motor would die. I just left it on there, i know its not good for the plug but after about 5 tanks it got to the point where i could lean it out more and then it would run with out the ignitor. I think i just needs more fuel through the motor.

i have heard of bad carbs and bad bearings on these motors. i had a bearing leaking on my us spec motor with less than a gallon, also had a rod break on same engine. i sold it and went back to trusty old v-specs
