I put a Werks B5 in my SC8 and watched it fly by 28's all day if it wasn't for my on/off switch failing in the MAIN I'd still be running

OS makes great engines. I personally run the speed version butthe reg vspec is a great engine. I would go withth vspec. I have also seen a werks b5 at the track do very well and get great mileage and for 200 that's a killer combo

How has no one mentioned it? I would pick that over any of those other engines any day for under 300. Well maybe besides the ninja but never seen one under 300.
I'm looking for a .21 to put in my new truggy. The V-spec was my first choice. The only problem with the V-spec is the lack of a hard coated crank, which seems to reduce longevity when subjected to the added stress of a truggy.

After speaking to some of my local pros, I'm going with the Ninja JX21 instead, with a 2050 pipe (my track is mostly tight, with only one really long straight). Basically, the way it was explained to me, the JX21 is sort of a bridge between the V-spec and the Speed. I can get the Ninja's locally for $305, so the price is attractive.

Mugen motor has insane power. The jammin motor has good power, but horrible mileage. Bearings can last 20 gallons, if you have to refuel every 6 minutes, you are going to lose against a guy who refills ever 9 minutes.

I would suggest the B5 as well. You won't be sorry. 200 for something as good or better than the rest? how can you go wrong?

I'm prolly bout 10 min with a losi re11 pipe. I have small leaning issue on bottom end later in the main but really can't complain. I have no regrets getting this reedy, it's been painless so far.
