Default "Bibles"

Much like the in depth technical writeups with the Engine Tuning and Engine Breakins, it would be great to see a detailed writeup on dialing in your chassis.

For instance, detailed information on the effects of toe-in and camber, shock mounting position, ackerman, wheelbase, different types of tires and its grip, wing, shocks, shock oil, and all other aspects of the chassis that can be tuned, what its function is, purpose of...

The other bibles are in depth, so for that type of writeup to be applied to the chassis itself would definately be beneifical. Most of us (I assume) are not as pro as the pro's, so coming from one of the self proclaimed or established pro's would be good. Yeah, we got the basics, but would be great if all aspects could be covered anyways.

... everything from the basics, down to the detail...

SET UP all depends on preference. Having a bilble will just be an opinion of one person. There are hundreds of different setup for different chassis whereas tuning and breakin is pretty much the same for every engine

I think the point was more of if i add more -camber in the rear what will it do type explanations for everthing you can adjust. Not a run xx setup for xx car. I use the sheets to get ideas of what to change to make my car do what I want it to do.

This is from the first post

The effects never change; ackerman will always do x, toe will always do y, and camber will always do z etc.

But the effects of what they do will differ between manufactors and drivers.

No, they wont. What you perceive might and the amount of difference they make might.

Sorry bro but they will, I own many 1/8 buggies and truggies and the set ups are different to get them to feel the same way for me.

So your saying that using Drakes standard setup on a Mugen or AE will make them all the same?

no, he's saying that if you change camber on a losi it will have the same effect as changing the camber on a Mugen. If you put lighter shock oil in a jammin truggy it will have the same/similar effect as putting lighter shock oil in a Caster buggy
