Yes its far more convenient. Alighnment is one of my least favorite part of building/tuneing a car. With the setup station I can get everything dead on and also make allowances for play in the suspension. Much more accurate than useing a camber gauge up against a warped wheel.
Steering symetry is something I've allways had wrong until I got this system. even though there is alot of play in most cars steering they tend to settle in the same place each time you bounce the suspension.
You have to get the droop blocks and droop gauges as well. If your going to to go the lenght of this system you minus well get your droop set perfect as it is more key than camber and toe.
don't get the Hudy board, its expensive and lame. Just get a glass cutting board from walmart for a flat surface.

totally worth the money for me. makes everything the same every time in a very short time. as long as you dont use it with a losi, they pretty much negate what a station can do for you.

I would like to add to the info on this thread and ask how often do you put the vehicle in the rack and check or reset? Every heat, before a main, every race day, only if there is a problem? I think I need one of these or I need to find a local guy that can check and readjust it from time to time.
Thanks

Because after a gallon or two of racing there is so much play in some cars that trying to alighn them is a lost cause. Losi and Ae are known for cheap plastic. My old Rc8 needed its arms, uprights, rod ends, shim spacers, shock bushings replaced at least every gallon. It was hard not to laugh at my garbage can being allways filled with Rc8 parts, in the long run it became cheaper to buy an Xray 808. (or 2!)
Its one of the many reasons I only recommend Xray and Mugen kits now. I like a car that lasts more than 1 race.
Same as taking a real car to a tire shop for an alighnment and..."sorry sir we can't alighn your Chevy Pelosi Hybrid because all your ball joints have fallen off."

Oh come on! Your Xt8 deosn't need the amount of plastic your Rc8 deos to keep going and you know it. I replaced every plastic part on that car at least once and alot of parts 3 times before I got rid of it.
AE and especially Losi need to get with it on plastic issues. Lesson learned, never again.
There is still people out there running old, oooooold Mbx5's.
