Default sleeve

this is a stock Nova 3 port sleeve, and most Nova RB 3 ports have a 13mm crank. You can see all the work JP did on the Sleeve and crank.

Default motor

desoto racing in Florida has the Black Mod 3 port for $297 and that is very inexpensive for a Mod JP.

This has a 14mm turbo crank the BF has a 13mm block crank, this has the JP black block and the mod work of art JP sleeve. No Turbo head but JP offers them, the bf has the cheep SO7030 rod the b3 has the R7 rod. This is the motor the bf wants to be when it grows up lol. I think the only thing the same as the bf is the front bearing and that might be different.

I thought it looked familiar.

I wonder how it'll compare to the +4? More bottom and better mileage? I'll bet it needs a short top-end pipe.

This might be just the engine I've been looking for.

The JP B3 has the E1 rod, not the R7.

Default cool

thats cool if it is the E1, the guy I talked to on the phone said the stock B3 had the E1 rod the Black Mod B3 had the R7 rod and you can get the R6 rod as a option with ceramic bearings.

Not sure about having the R7 come on B3 Black version. I have the Black p/s/r set and it still has the E1. You can swap out the E1 for the R7 or R6 with black pin after break-in. I also spoke with JP months ago about the rod and he stated the same, swap it out after break-in.

I must have misunderstood the guy but I ordered the motor so I cant wait to try it. A friend of mine runs the Black 5 port in his Truggy and it is overkill. I have had good luck with 3 port motors with my CEO mod Werks b3 and my IDM P3 and I just cant let a black 3 port JP go with out running it.

Doesn't the latest version of the Nova Bf (limited) have a 14mm crank now?

I think you are talking about the new Novarossi S21P3 because I dont think Novarossi even makes the bf any more www.novarossi.it and yes the new s21 has a 14mm crank but it is a SPORT crank and the JP has a 14mm turbo crank like the +4 the picture is the S21 crank non turbo
