Default Please AE HELP ME!

I just finished assembling my rc8b. It was purchased on tuesday and a couple late nights and an afternoon off it is done. However, upon inspecting the buggy I noticed the aluminum top plate is broken through the web on the driver's side. This thing has seen NO surface other then my pit towel. I know i have to boil the AE plastics.... but what do i do about this top plate?
I have pictures too... i just have no idea how to post them
i am lucky enough to have the original rc8 with an aluminum top plate that i can put on for now.
So please AE tell me what i need to do?
Thanks
Anthony

First, I would recommend calling Associated. This is a public forum, not Team Associated. I am sure if you are polite and explain the issue they will resolve the problem.

X2

i race losi's but most companys work about the same.

be nice, it will get you places in customer service. if your a dick you wont get anything. i work in the customer service field and i am more willing to help someone being nice who has a problem then someone being an ass with a problem

i hope i did not come off as a dick. that is not what i was trying to do. I am frustrated that i have to spend more time tearing down the other car so i can assemble my new car. It wouldnt be a big deal but the national finals start tomorrow.
I apologize if i cam across as a jerk, sorry.

Not trying to sound rude, but it's not a good idea to build a new car specifically for a national event. Issues often occur with kit builds. The car takes time to break in. Unless you had an rc8b before, you're gonna be chasing both a new car that is changing every tank as well.

Just call AE and talk to Don in customer support. He'll get you taken care of. He'll probably want that broken top plate so the engineers can look it over and see what went wrong with it. Very odd that it's cracked!

i sent an email off(finally found the the email address, i was looking in the wrong spot) and a fellow named Chris told me to send the top plate into him and they will inspect it. The cruddy part is living in canada and knowing its gonna be over a week just to get it there.

I did not build the car for the event. It just happened to show up tuesday, been on order for about 6 weeks. I have a whole day of practice tomorow so i guess we see what happens.
