AxeRossi X1 SG Mamba
Hi guys, I have an axerossi mamba running with the axe pipe that comes with the combo.I have done about 2 gallons and I'm quite impressed with the performance of the engine.Bottom end was impressive and the engine could idle all day. The only problem that I have is the engine will run rich on the bottom end after a pitstop. I have sealed the backplate and carb neck but it still persists.I suspected that it might be a my fuel tank or exhaust tubing. I swap the engine with my old and trusted RB WS7 with a JP3 pipe and there wasnt any problems of richening after the pitstop. My HSN is currently at slightly under 3turns from closed and my LSN is 2turns from closed. Please help...

Razzi i run the Axe Motors and Love them let me help some if i can is the motor running Rich as in to much fuel most motors run Lean after a fuel stop.
If it running Rich you may need to try and Lean the bottom just a Little bit to help it when you come in for Fuel.

Hi bro, thanks for the info. I did try but it doesnt seem to help much. Can I know what is your HSN and LSN needle settings? Are you using the axe plugs which is the RT5? Have you tried the OS P5 plugs on the engine?

The default settings for the Mamba is HSN 3.5turns out from fully closed. LSN is 2.5turns out from fully closed.Do you think anything wrong with my needles setting? But the thing is the engine runs perfectly fine till the point of after the pitstop. Im running with 25% Byron and using the axe RT5 plugs.

my nova does that to and my bottom end is just leaned out a little where theres still good smoke and torque, when u go in the pit when the guy refuels u just hit the gas a little hard or just blip the throttle while hes refueling u not to hard though the smoke will burn your pit guy eyes it happen to me before lol

Try a hotter plug than the one you are using right now If OS plugs fits try P4 or P3.

hey mate
it sound like you need to just bleep the engine as the car is being refueled. just don't go overboard.
nothing worse than have a car come straight off of a slightly muddy track and then spin the tires in your face as you are refueling their car. it realy sucks
my 2 cents

+1. An engine should - without any trouble - have a steady idle during pitstops without loading up. Otherwise there is something wrong.

maybe his pit guy is over filling the tank and then slamming the lid shut,
and maybe have a longer pressure line would help.
hope this helps.

Many thanks for all the inputs guys. I will try to lean down the low end again when the fuel is nearly empty as well as chamging to the OS P5 plug. If the problem still persists, I guess my Mamba is meant to run 1 tank only
