Default sealing battery box

hey guys and gals.. I got a co-worker of mine into this great hobby and he got himself a duratrax raze. this is mike's question: How can he seal the battery box to keep dirt and debris out of it? I am an electric guy and I have used balloons in the the past to "weatherproof" receivers and ESC's but I am not sure if this will work for his application. I have not seen his car in person yet so I am not exactly sure the layout and if this trick will work in a nitro car where there is more heat and fuel involved. any suggestions?

he also tore up the throttle servo somehow. any replacement servo recommended by you folks? Thanks in advance for the input.

I feel i am going to have to run a bigger lipo to keep up with him now. ugh. more $$. Wifey is going to be mad!!!
