Default Motors and pipes

Jimmy, hey I was wondering if you have done any testing with Novarossi pipes on the motors? I have the 9901 with the 41021 header and was wondering how this combo runs with the motor? I am thinking of picking one of these motors up tomorrow. The green head motor how is this motor compared to the Plus 4? I really want something that is close to the motor i am running now. I also have a Toro nero is the red head motor like this. I also here you guys are testing a new Alpha Motor how is that testing coming? well hope everyone had a great Holiday and thanks for the help

Out of the three engines no doubt the Z852 has more top end. The mid-top on the Z with the 0801 is further enhanced but so also is the bottom making the power a bit smoother than with previous pipes tested. (Albeit I have yet to run a 2013 to compare side by side)

The S motor comes on sooner but does not carry the revs out as high as the Z.

Clutch and bell remained the same.

I run the new M2C variable weight flywheel fully weighted with regular weight shoes, 1.0 x2 and 1.05 x2 with 13t bells on both cars. Tamiya 801 X & XT.

Hey Bill! We had a wonderful Holiday thank you.

Comparing power out put I would say that the Nova +4 is like the F850 (red head) if you want more power the S852 (orange head) would be a great choice.

Power of the Toro Nero would easily be matched by the Z852 (green head)

Engine wise we are done testing Pipe wise there are hundreds of pipes we have yet to test and most of which we won't ever be able to. We have found that the 2013, 2066, 2041 and the 0801 have proven to work really well with the 0801 giving us the best power to run time ratio. We are very happy with these engines and will be supporting the Alpha Plus line of engines and products from here on out.

Check www.trackstarrc.com for regular updates and new products for the Alpha Plus engine line.

We did some testing with 9901 on Z852. It will work nicely giving ecellent mid and top. However there are pipes (like 2013, 0801) that gives slightly more bottom than the 9901.

Thank you very much Jimmy. Glad your holiday was good. What motors do you have in stock? I have all next week off and was wanting to get one of these motors to do some testing to see if I like them compared to my Novarossi motors I am running know. I want to decide on a motor combo before the JBRl series start next year.

Thanks
Bill

We'll have engines back in stock by the end of the week.

We are located in Winchester about an hour South of Riverside and 45 minutes North of San Diego. About a 2:45 hour drive from Hot Rods.

I'd invite you down but we are in the process of moving things around and cleaning up to add more inventory space.
