I forgot to put I am running the ebmod 2041 pipe and I put the extra shim in it. Also I am running 30% fuel, and a little rich still still. getting 8 1/2 and I wanted to make sure I am on the right track. Or should I take the extra shim out?

I've run them with all the different gasket configurations and like the stock shimming right out of the box the best. (Shim with .1 & .2 gaskets) with the EB 2041 pipe.

I also ran the 0801 which we should have in stock soon. It was with the same shim/gasket config and was really good. Though I didn't get to race with it.

We break in our engines with the fuel we will run/race with.

If you run 20-25% break it in with the shims that are already in the engine.

If you run 30%, we install the extra gasket that comes with the engine to ease the compression a bit and then remove it once we install it into the buggy to run.

Short report on the new Alpha S852 (Orange head .21)

Break in went well. (Same as others)

Went out last night and put some laps on a still tight engine. No doubt this engine is smoother and makes more torque!

Looking forward to putting it to the test on Saturday at the Toys for Tots race at Thunder Alley!!

More to come on fuel mileage, tuning, temps etc.
