Gas tank nipple stripped, can it be fixed?

I bought a used OFNA ultra LX 1. I'm pretty happy with it but the orginal owner has replaced some screws here and their with wrong ones. So I decided I would strip it down and fix everything. While pulling off the tank I noticed the fuel nipple could be pulled out. It must be completely stripped. I have pulled fuel tubing off this niple plenty of times and it has never came off. And I have ran a couple tanks though it and never noticed an air leak or air bubbles in the fuel line. Is their a fix or am I safe?

Thanks,
Levi

You can apply epoxy to the thread area, just clean it well with acetone to remove the oil. Other than that, replacing the tank is your best bet in the long run.
