nah it wasnt the v spec. i know what a v spec looks like. i talked to the guy that had the VG and he was telling me about it being a pretty good motor.

YEAH the vspecs definitly have a distinctive sound as well al i need is to here one and know its a vspec.they are screaming fast. i have a tuned vspec[speed]

another great os motor but lacks the hard hitting power that a regular vspec produces, regular vspecs are snappy , somethin i like in a motor

I wouldn't be afraid of the VG motors. I am running the .21 in my truggy and it starts very easy runs strong enough to hang with the big dogs on our small track and doesn't mind being abused. While chasing an air leak that screwed with my tune I had a couple runs in the 340-360 degree range and it just keeps coming back for more and the compression is just as strong now as it was at the beginning of the season when it was new. I have always made sure there was smoke at all stages of the motor revs and that is all it seems to need.

It's about a 3 gallon engine tops. Seen WAY too many blow up in 2-3 gallons. They are also pretty weak, and from my experience, get horrible fuel milage. I would go with the nova n21b limited over the VG any day! For the same price they are a much better engine.

Mine lasted two gallons, then lost compression and began flaming out constantly. There are MUCH better engines at the price point you're shopping.

The Novarossi 3 port limited or the Dynamite Mach 2 are IMO way better buys for the money.
