Default Race lenghts

Just a general question, how come almost every big race and many local races have longer mains for the pro's than the sportsmen ? I just think it's odd that everyone pays the same entry fee but some get to race longer.

Yes but the sponsored guys get free fuel!!! so they can afford to run longer... I run Nitro-X which is just awesome!!!

not everyone can handle 30+min mains.

In 30 minutes you can clearly see whos car can hold up and who is better driver.

No need to go more

Mains 45-60 minutes are crazy

Shameful plug anyone

I think it's because pro's have more experience and can keep their car together for longer mains. No one wants to see a 45 min main with no cars on track

I actually use my local pro's to help me keep my car running (i couldn't find the low speed needle and don't know which way to turn it).
But they always TM the first race which is the shortest while someone who didn't get to race as long has to TM a long pro race.
While i understand lower mains and all, an "A" main is still the "A" no matter whose in it.

A longer pro a-main allowes the sponsors to make their mark aswell. if you were watching a race and you see an engine run very well for 20 min and flame out for the last 25 min what are your opinions going to be compared to the engine that runs well for 45 min doesnt flame out and wins the race.

a pro amain tests ALL products that the racer is using. Engine, Tires, reciever battery, radio, driver skill, and tuning ability. Thats why they are longer

Sportsman guys wreck so much that a person does not have the endurence to turnmarshal a longer race. You would not understand because you are racing the sportsman race.

Racers need to be brought up from short to long mains.Learning how to make your car last 45 min straight is not the same as 3 15 min races with no maint. If,I should say when the brain fades even cars kept in the best shape break. America has A.D.D. Consentrating on 1 thing for 45 min is above most of us until you train for it with the shorter mains. For those that think its so easy & want to jump straight from 15 min mains to 45 just try holding your controler out in front of you, just away from your body for 45 min while sitting on the couch watching TV.

a main is not the same as every a amain, and its not about money. sportsman is meant to be a stepping stone to the pro/expert class. just like in motorcross, the lights mains are not as long. in nascar the national cars dont run the same as the cup cars. most sportsman are very happy to run for 30min in the a main than 10 in the expert c.

My track dont have sportsman, pro or any ranking class. Everyone races eachother. We generally have 3-4 10 min heats qualifiers and the c final 15 mins, B final 20 mins, A final 30 mins.

Or during a national or special event/ raceday we have up to 7 10 min qualifiers a 20 min C final, 30 Min B final and a 1hour long A main. (Which i love but god do your legs ache after words)
