So i was running my savage xl up and down the street a little while ago and all of a sudden it started running kinda funny and bogged a little bit in the bottom end. so i let it idle a bit and then it died...idk why. so i tried to start it again and it wouldnt start. then i tried to start it once more and gave it full throttle and after a couple seconds it started. once it started and i let off the gas it would die. whats the problem?

Pull your air filter off and look down in the carb you shoul have around 1-2 mm opening. If not open turn your idle screw till it is open 1mm-2mm. If that does not fix it then richen the low needle one turn out to see if it stops dieing, if it does then your headed in the right direction. Hope this helps.
