The OD Team Edition has lightened up considerably and also has the newer style steering setup.

I'm not sure that these buggies are even a fair comparison in stock form.

Xray,... by far.

why xray? From my previous post I listed all the buggies I have owned in the past, and the Xray XB8 was the best one as far as quality and performance. Then a little under 2 years ago, Xray announced the release of the 808. I anticipated this car to be of the highest quality, and I waaaaaay under estimated how great this car would live up to it's previous platform. I expected it to be tough just like the XB8, and I assumed I could tune it to perform to my liking, but I had no Idea at how responsive and easy this car would be to wheel around the track. I'm still dumbfounded at how great this car is after a year and a half of driving it!

All other cars are simply a disappointment when it comes to workmanship, quality and durability next to the 808/809. The xray is simply in a class by itself. Kind of like comparing a Porsche to a Corvette. Both are fast (corvette may even be faster), but no one is going to say a Corvette is as nice as a Porsche in terms of luxury/build quality.

It is hard for me to get over the high prices of the Xray parts. If you do not have a parts seller at your track it would be expensive to keep the front end parts in your pit box ready to go. Maybe it never breaks though?

all i can say is ebay Mugen parts are at least just as expensive. I get them on ebay for half the price.

I have a complete kit of spares for about 350$$$ I will put it another way. If your are buying parts from amain, You are paying serious mark up from the factory ( 2 pivot balls cost 25$$) Spur or conical gear almost 50$ shocks 70$ bucks a pair. but part for part on ebay is about 1/4th the price. if you bought a kit from spares at amain it would cost somewhere around 1500$$$ (just a guess)

I mean i can get a whole diff for the price of a pack of washers and orings LOL!!!!
