Default $200 ~ $250 engine for truggy

I usually hate these kind of threads but here I am writing one.
I'm after a new engine for my truggy as the Orion .28 I have has too much grunt. I'm interested in the new werks 5 port and possibly the odonnel 4 port and anything else recomended.I will also use it as a spare engine for my buggy so I'm wanting 10 minute runtimes in buggy like I got out of my C6. I like torquey engine so I don't needyo clutch it heavy to get bottom end. I know I will need to do this in truggy but I want enough bottom end so I don't have to do it when I run it in buggy.
Basically a torquey .21 for truggy but with 10 min runtimes when ran in buggy.
I'm in the UK so the werks and odonnel are not over here.

Not really into the reedy as one at my club let go if I remember rightly it lost the silicone out the crank and they look nothing special going round. I've got 2 picco based engines now and the carbs are nothing short of terrible. Engines themselves are supperb but the carbs are too hit and miss. I think I'm siding towards the odonnel as everything ive read is good. The only downside is there will be liitle support over here for it as most shops don't even sell odonnel plugs even though IMO are the best available.

Get the Werks, look at the Werks B5 page for more info, you will not find better product/customer support than Werks period. Ron is very helpful

They got 6 gallons of fuel through the engine HARDCORE racing at big events. Non of this rubbish about changing rods after a gallon of fuel blah blah all the other rubbish that other manufactures claim, or running a special modified engines for team drivers only which no one can get, just a bone stock $200 engine.

Werks, Werks, Werks....................

Go .25 is awesome in a truggy, everyone I've sold the guy's just love them. The 5 port is good too if you want a .21. and they are both in your pricerange.

if you're looking for an absolute power horse in that range the jammin/picco engines are it,nova's and reedy's will be smoother but fast as well. If you look around you might even be able to find a vspec in that price range which is a fast motor to.

You can get an OS vspec for 4240 with a tower hobbies $60 off coupon. The mugen ninja jx21 is an amazing engine, but it costs $335-4360 depending on where you get it.

you mentioned the werks B5, I'm interested in this engine as well, I think for that price and what it comes with it will be a hard bargain to pass up especially when it's priced at $199. If you don't go with it, I'm probably gonna try it.
