Would it be possible for me to make something that goes on the tip of my PE-1 tempgun that way it would be easy for me to stick it in the head of my GRP. The hole in the head is small, so it's hard to get the temp gun aligned right to get an accurate reading. I was thinking of like windshield wiper blade, and make it round and glue it on the head of the tempgun. Something to make it like an Exergen head for example.

Or would this completely screw up the reading?

I took the chance and modded mine. I found at clip on flashlight that goes on your hat, and it had a perfect cone shape piece i could use. I cut it so it's a little shorter than a half inch, so the reading shouldn't be off at that much. If my GRP starts running 120 degrees, i know it didn't work. It does fit perfectly into the head though.

I'll try it out tomorrow, and post pics if it works.
