Default Sealing a carb

Hey,

I believe I am going to need to seal my carb. I am unable to get my idle correct because I cannot get the idle gap down to 1mm without the engine leaning out. I think it is leaking on the idle screw.

So my question is. Do you think that this is what would cause this? If so what should I do to seal the carb up. If not what would? What is the process you guys have used? And lastly what should I be checking when taking apart the carb and reseal it up.

This is my first time ever sealing a carb and I want to make sure I am doing it right.

Thanks

I always seal my engines. Use the lucky 7 sealer. I love it. You just put some of it down and blow it around what you're sealing and it's done.

i recommend a 2nd coat with lucky 7....there tends to be a few air bubble's that will pop when drying and cause a little pin hole sized hole that can/will leak through.

I've never had that issue. Odd. Well... maybe it's because I'm pretty sloppy with it =P

Yeah I was pretty anal about the sealer. then i relized I was pretty bad at it.. There are 3 things I totally suck at.

1. gluing tires.

2. Sealing engines

3. Driving

Actually I could go on and on =P

losi 454 has a very fine line between lean on the low needle. Minimum
1-2mm gap on opening and the tune low needle to fit.
