yes you are right and i will say when losi came out with the buggy that was prob one of the best things that has happen to rc racing in a long time. Yes Losi is taken over the r/c world and with a strong stand , just hope they can keep it up i grew up racing a losi lxt and will always be a losi person. but i think the the other buggys in the market are just as good well the majors at least. I will say this Losi's customer support is one of the best that i have found. most of the time if something goes bad they will send you the part for free. What better suppot can you ask for.

and token, yeah the losi was far ahead of the curve a few years ago but everyone else has learned and caught up ( most anyway). I hope losi is sponsoring some of you considering how hard many of you push there products.

Dandrat,
I have only seen the first and second magic buggys, I honestly did not know they had anything new out. I did not drive one because the driver could not keep them in one piece long enough for anyone else to try and he is a darn good driver. The aluminum quality looked to be about the same as 1950's garden furniture and the plastic seemed about like a 1984 tamyia grasshopper. Maybe there new stuff is better?

well the new buggy isn't that bad . the plastic is a bit soft and I did have to make a few mods to fix a few small issues.it does require more regular maintenance then some. once you fix its quarks its reliable and fast. 2 bad it took many buggies for them to make something drivable and ruining there reputation in the process.

Man there are a lot of hits in this thread. I will go ahead and say the best buggy for "ME" is the mbx6. Mugen cars have always treated me well and trust me, I have tried em all, losi, xray, kyosho, ofna, jammin, etc. I will give props where it is due, the losi 8 shocked the 1/8 scale world and is the reason for the rest of the manufactures to raise the bar and redesign there buggy's. Now here is my list of buggy's I would run.

1. Mugen
2. Losi
3. Associated
4. Kyosho
5. Ofna/Jammin

2. HPI D8 - Price very good ( 330 ) and reliability aren't there, maybe the new drive shaft would be better than previous. Handling fantastic moreover it a WC car.

3. Losi 8 - Price is high ( 650 ), dislike - factory driver's ride are always different than the stock kit.

4. Associated - Price good ( 500 ) - but doesn't like anything from TTR; bad stuff..................made in China.................sick...........

5. Xray 808 - Price high ( 640.00 ) Euro ? we all understand......rear diff is sick.................Juraj better fix it.

6. Kyosho MP9 - Use to be expensive ( 800 ) but with standard kit now ( 660 ) the kit not worth with what you are paying for. Stupid marketing...............and Kyosho going down hill.............

OFNA Jammin ( 600 ) opps wrongly price, Hobao ( 450 ) - pls get the engine straighten out pls..............Tamiya ( 550 ) - get more drivers.......and get your engine straighten out.........the gimmick don't work.......it's not EP, buggy drivers are into durability, price and performance.

hahahahaha thats the funniest thing Ive ever heard on this whole forum. "kyosho going down hill." Just because Kyosho isnt as popular in the US as other countries doesnt mean its going down hill. The US isnt the Center of attention.(although most americans think so )

Nitro Offroad List
1. Mbx6, mp9, 2.0, rc8-Their all so similar that it really depends on the driver at this point
2.
3.
4.
5. All the others

Nitro Onroad List
1. Kyohso
2. Mugen
3. Kyosho
4. Mugen
5. All the others

Now please if you think for 1 second Kyosho is going bye bye, then you have another thing coming. Kyosho owns the onroad scene. Onroad is at least 4x bigger than offroad. Im not biased towards onroad nor offroad, but you got to look at the facts here.

Kyosho is going down hill, and that is the fact they grabbed Tebo after they got rid of him before to try to get their stake in the 1/8 scale off road scene back and Im sorry one Tebo do not compete against the Losi, AE or Mugen driver lineup. Not to knock Tebo but he has not been doing to well this year with that Kyosho
