I've been a carolinasrc.com customer for years and I'm sure have spent thousands of dollars with them.

I totally understand the economy thing and trying to keep parts in stock. I can't even begin to imagine what kind of money it takes to stock every part for every popular vehicle and then in multiple quantities so that its available when someone orders it.

I think people forget how much money it takes to be stocked and ready to ship....

I like carolinas service and price and will continue to be a customer....

I just think that they got hit hard when everyone start ordering from them at one time. dont think that they was expecting to expand that fast. plus alot of parts are on back ordered from the actual companys, see horizon or tower

I ordered the following items on backorder 1/3/10:

VNR2024 Venom EVA Radio Bag
LOSA4441 Losi Aluminum Servo Saver Top
LOSA6046 4mm Steering Rod End Set

Every month I email them and they always say "your stuff" should be in next week. That was 2-3 months ago. Any ideas on what I should do?

No improvement over the last months.
I might understand why they dont carry much in stock, I dont undertand why the webshop is such a mess.
....And now I experience things arrive faster from Hong Kong than from Carolinas.

Carolinasrc has been going through several changes in the last couple months. They just moved into a different building. The owner Jon's wife has just had a child two weeks ago. And racing season has been starting up all over the country for the past couple months.

I've had mostly good experiences dealing with Carolinas. Yeah, some of the stuff gets backordered. So, it may not be the best place to shop for parts that you need to fix for the next race weekend. But, the deals are too good to pass up.

I've also found that calling them helps a lot, rather than e-mailing.

I started this thread a long time ago, and people continue to make excuses for Carolinas. I have bought since, but again return disappointed. Ordering tires because she claim they will be dropped shipped, but months later, i sit without my tires and without a refund. I am not talking some crazy brand, but AKA cityblocks for truggy. I mean seriously, it takes 2 months for 1 set of tires?

I understand things are hard, i do. But, there is no excuse for me having to call time and again to get a refund i was promised. The duty of the business is to sell me a product. But to take my money from me, and not provide the product is plain and simple theft. No excuses can be made for that.

I do agree with you. If you paid for a item you should get the item you paid for. But I think aka tires are getting kind of hard to get since they are in such high demand. I also use to shop with carolinas alot. But on my last order a few months ago I wasnt happy with the shipping. It took them like 3 days to ship my item that I ordered on a monday or so. So it took me a week to get my items.

i havent had problems with shipping, with carolina r/c , i did have a problem with a backorder on a pair of , aka premount buggy tires and waited for a mouth and also a set, of bearings on my eight -t 1.0. that was 2 mouths
but they seem to be working, this issue better now with drop shipmets.

but i only order things, that are in stock from them , but the on thing that could be improved is when, something is in stock and than you get a email saying that its on a backorder.

99% of the time if you have a problem and contact them it will get resolved, and some time they will give you something extra for your troubles.
