+3 the ninja is cheaper but the speed is the best engine I know of. I just purchased another speed and I would buy another if I needed one. Yes it is 150+ more expensive, but The easy tuning and power everywhere is worth it. Speed all the way here.

A biased opinion, period...

Having said that I own both and would buy the JX because they perform almost the same and the JX is cheaper.

In my own personal experience I think the speed has a smoother low end to it, which can be beneficial on a slick track. The PTM ninja I have currently is a monster on the low end. If there are any jumps with very short approaches, the ninja usually has no issue clearing them- if I can get it hooked up. Reliability has been superb- tuning as well. Just now have 5 gallons on mine and it shows no signs of slowing down.

Both are great motors and I would definitely buy a ninja again, although I am finding that having another flavor to choose from on slicker tracks can be a great option as well. Speeds reputation speak for themselves- great top end and very smooth power delivery makes the motor very easy to drive fast IMO.

Dollar for dollar I do think the ninja is a better deal for the performance you get though.
