Default RC8 Big Bore Shock Caps - Do they have plastic versions?

I have a set up of banged up 16mm RC8 big bore shocks. The caps are beat up, and I went to my LHS. They wanted $40 for a set of 4.

I thought I read somewhere that Associated had plastic shock caps. The thing is, I can't find them for the big bore shocks (only the standard shocks).

Any ideas?

Check part numbers for the shocks on the RC8Te, they use composite shocks and shock caps.

the plastic shocks that come on the electric rollers and on the RTRs with bigbores have alum caps as well. I bought an RC8T, plastic shocks, alum caps

Dunno, those suckers look plastic to me. Ironically, I cannot find the part number for the RC8e shock caps.

I owned an RC8Te and it had composite shocks and composite shock caps. The RC8T and RC8Te are not exactly the same as you presume.

Call associated, I had the same problem finding the part number for the shock body. I cracked a shock body and could not find the part, so I called them and they were very helpful. 2 shock bodies cost a total of 5 bucks.

Nice, but I'm only looking for the caps. I'll call though, thanks!

good find, i figured they would have used the same thing on the E-version as the RTR, but i stand corrected. def give Associated a call, great Customer Service should be able to get what you need!
